The athlete starts the push-up with arms at full extension and only hands and knees on the ground. The body is in in a straight position, which must be maintained throughout. No snaking or sagging is allowed. The bottom position is achieved when the athlete’s chest is touching the ground at or above nipple line. The athlete must then remove his/her hands from the ground before returning to the starting position. The rep is complete when the athlete returns to the starting position with arms fully locked out.
