The rep begins with the bar on the shoulders and finishes with the bar locked out overhead. In the finishing position the bar must be positioned over the heels with feet together and elbows, knees, and hips must be at full extension. An athlete is allowed to use an initial dip to generate power and must catch the bar in a split position. The feet must then return together before the rep is complete. Strict presses, push jerks, and push presses are not allowed.
